That looks amazingly good!!!

Very clean - but aggressive with the big lips.

The ride height looks just right too. Well done.

hehe... Japanese wheels on a Benz. Some of these guys are going to freak.

My brother is wheel shopping right now.

Can you give me an idea of what kind a price he can expect on a 20" staggered setup for an R230?

PM me if you'd prefer. He's been leaning towards the HRE 540Rs but these would be a nice alternative.

Once again - props to you, Tbone. Maybe just a 20 or 35% tint and you're done.

You should buy the Euro impact strips, it would make that look much better then the painted thing going on there.

I've been contemplating a tint. Still haven't decided yet.

The VS-XX wheels don't come in a 20. I already tried. The 540R's are awesome, and come in a 20.

Peter is a great guy....nice guy and knowledgable. I'd buy from him again!

Love them, Peter. Thanks for all of your help!

Is this the 1st set of Work wheels you've done on a Mercedes?

Your car looks awesome man! Oh, and who cares if people start flaming on you for putting Japanese wheels on a German car. If the wheels look good and are made with high quality standards, then why talk smack regardless of where they come from. Work is one of the top wheel companies in Japan. HRE, DPE, & Iforged are all great wheel companies as well, so again we're putting a non-German wheel on a German car.

I agree totally. Quality is Quality, no matter where it's made. I have always liked Work wheels from my Honda "ricer" days. LOL :p

Very nice, and very clean but aggressive look. Work makes some nice rims, no doubt.

Just out of idle curiousity, what does the "(56K - no way)" in the title of this thread refer to? Surely you aren't saying that a set of similar wheels from Germany costs $56,000. I know that people can spend an awful lot on wheels, but nobody (except maybe an F1 team) spends $56,000 on a set of wheels, do they? That would be sick, in the original sense of the word.

Ah, of course. Back when I had dialup I got maybe 35K maximum, on a really good day, so I can't personally relate to the theoretical dialup max of 56K.

I had SSR Professor SP1's on my old M3, and never recieved anything but positive comments. I hope the guys on this forum aren't too unmoving when it comes to "traditional modding". Here he is (I miss him ):

BTW, can you order the VS-XX with Black Centers?
