Only $150 for the door panel and blinds?? Sound impossibly cheap for an MB part.
Are you sure these are the OEM blinds the fold into the door panel?

I'm sorry, not trying to be argumentative.. seriously.
How on earth is it that they roll into the door, when the door panel has to be different from the factory for that option. The MBUSA price is for a factory option, not the walk-in dealer retro-fit.. The entire door panel (minus electronics) costs about $500 or so each, so that alone would bring the price to $1150 just for parts?
Anyone have a photo of the after purchase retro-fit?
This seems more like a job for a Steve (MBenzNL) than a simple $150 plug-n-play.

These blinds are an aftermarket retrofit that DOES NOT ROLL DOWN INTO THE DOOR PANEL. I have them and I can take them off very easily. These actually cover the entire rear window (the ones that roll down nicely into the door don't). These aftermarket shades are a better choice than tinting as far as I am concerned.
So CE750, your initial thought was correct, these don't fold down into the door, but you sure can remove them when you don't want them on.

I seem to recall reading a post a while back from a member who got a dealer quote on a full retro-fit for the shades, rear, and side... and it was something outlandish like $4000
anyway...
