Aux Input - Flutter Noise
I have noticed that lately my Aux imput is making a constant clicking noise.. To the point it is unuseable. Kind of like a flutter.
Anyone else ever have this problem?
This is kind of like the sound:

Bingo! Same noise here. I thought it was possibly my connection into the AUX but I chnaged acbles twice. It seems as though if the connection is off even a little, it will result in that noise. Try "jiggling" the cable connection into the AUX until it resolves. I'm sure there is a better solution but until I get my SA to look at it, it will do.
BTW, great post with the sound file. It helped alot.

If it's a whinning or buzzing noise, then you might want to try a filter. This is discussed in the W203forums. Members have used this and it stopped the problem.......available at Radio Shack.

Yeah thanks for the info on the adapter/filter. The sound is present with nothing plugged in.
I am taking it in for service on Monday and they will take a look at it.

They replaced the piece that goes from the glove box to the head unit and the problem still exists. I haven't had time to go back in..
