Help Choosing Color

I am about to purchase an E350 with the Appearance Package. Many people are confusing it with the SPORT package, but the appearance package has the 18" spoke wheels, bird's eye trim inside and white gauges as seen on the Silver one below. I am VERY TORN between Black and Silver. My wife has a new silver ML350 with the AMG pacakge, and it looks amazing. I like the Silver on Charcoal, but I also like the Black on Tan. What does everyone think? I attached two pics

Black may be a biatch to clean, but in the end it's worth it. It looks a ton better, IMHO. Silver, is too common and blends in with the background and other cars too well. Black sort of stands out because it's shinier.

Black seems to have a tough edge look to it, but harder to maintain. Dirt and swirls show up more. I have a silver car and go days before it really starts to look dirty. If I had more dedication to clean my car frequently, then I probably would have chosen black.

Silver with a black interior is tired, tired, tired. Everyone and everything has it. Black with a Stone interior would be very elegant, more distinctive, and gets my vote. Depending upon the climate where you are (it's always a good idea to say where you are) a tan interior with a black exterior would probably be cooler than a black interior with a silver exterior. The black paint does require a committment to maintenance that silver does not, though.

I say go with the Black/Stone combo I think it's distinctive and classy; besides, I ordered mine that way too

My thought has always been, that while black looks AMAZING, it will never again look as good as it did they day you purchaced it.

There is just something very special and powerful about a black Mercedes. I love black on black (that is of course what I purchased) but it is a commitment on my part. I like to clean my car 1-3 times a week and that is what it takes to keep it looking like it just rolled off of the lot.

I can understand Black as a possible choice, but almost every other MB sold in the USA is Brilliant Silver... Thats how I ended up ordering with Pewter/Stone. ...It always looks clean except when my wife has been in the passenger side of the car. Then the plastic door sill gets scuffed from door hinge to mid seat cushion, the fabric door sill is filthy, stained, and dirty, the carpet is covered with leaves, mud and twigs, the sides of the door sill below the door has long black scrapes on it. For the Bonus Round, she scuffs the door speaker grill with her shoe when she gets out.

We both start out from the same place, and arrive at the same place in the same car, but her side looks like chimps were screaming and fighing, while flinging crap on her side of the car... My side? Spotless. I can't understand it! A half hour ride requires 3 different cleaners, 2 white terry cleaning cloths and 40 minutes of spraying, wiping, dabbing and blotting. My side? Spotless. Its just simply amazing!

That is so funny! I go through the same thing. It is like they fill their pockets with stuff and throw it on the rug when you are not looking.

I bought the brilliant silver with charcoal interior and am totally happy with my decision.

You see the combination a lot, and it's because it looks fantastic--particularly with the pano roof!!!
