I tried finding in the online brochure but it was too confusing..

You can get a fold-down, rear-facing rear seat in the cargo area or 'way back' which is rather nice and will accomodate two children or two younger teenagers. It is not anything like the 3rd row seating in the GL or R.

I thought I heard they were going to "delete" the 3rd row seat.
My 2004 has it, only usable for small (vertically) children/people due to the seat to roof limitations. I'm not sure I could even sit in it if my head was removable.

The W211 has a significantly smaller third row compartment than the W210 or W124 due to the more steeply raked shape. If they do delete it, it will probably be on the W212 in 2009. Since no one else in the same segment offers it anymore.
It comes standard in the U.S. W211s, but I believe the European/other non-U.S. Estate versions have it as an option.
