purchase an exteneded warantee?
Thinking about getting the extended warantee, do dealers vary in prices for warantee's? Does anyone have a AAA extended warantee?

Prices vary quite a bit. But you have to compare among MB dealers (orange with orange). Go online and shop around among MB dealers. I could have saved quite a bit if I did this earlier

I purchased my vehicle and declined the Starmark new-vehicle extended warranty due to the cost. But I was later offered the same warranty through another M-B dealer and saved over $900.
When I go to my local dealer for service, the service department shows that I have the Starmark extended coverage, but it doesn't list where the policy was actually purchased.

If you plan on keeping the car past its "factory" warranty by either MILES or TIME. GET an extended warranty from MB. All those thing the dealer cheerfully replaces to keep the car within specs, and running "just how you like it to" will cost you a FORTUNE if you don't have an extended warranty. Paying those parts & labor costs will sour you on the whole Brand the minute you have to "stop at the cashier" to get your keys & pick up your car after a "visit to the workshop"!
Call out of state MB dealers & ask their price on the MB warranty. They know they will only have 1 shot at stealing your business from your local guys. Its a pure profit sale item the out of state dealership would never have made othwerwise... and it makes them look good to MBUSA. My experience with GM extended warranties is the guy selling you the car will always ask for list price on the warranty, which is twice his cost... For you, the best price wins.
My advice is to only get the MB Extended warranty.

I think you have a year after you buy your car to buy the MB Extended Warranty. That's when I shopped for mine--right before the year was up. I saved a LOT of money buying that way rather than buying at the same time I bought my car. I ended up getting the warranty from the same dealer I bought my car from, but they were beating another dealer's price.
