srs system defective
i bought a 5year old merc e-220 few weeks back - had a navigation system fitted (mercedes own band ) and now randomly I keep getting a SRS system defective message .....
and the tuner , dvd sensor detectors all stop working .........???
then after 24 hours the system starts working - but the message SRS system defective stays ......
its not reliable at all ???????
what could be the problem ???

Sounds to me like whoever installed either damaged or did not properly re-install one fo the srs sensors.
This could lead to failure to tension seat belt, activate airbags etc etc in the case of a crash - get it fixed!
