But I have to say, I have created quite the little thread here that I do enjoy reading. It's funny how it went from comments about the emblems to house prices in Cali.
Hey bro... I normaly don't respond to these kind of threads because what I think shouldn't matter one bit about whats going on with your ride. This thead and others like it is purely subjective.
Don't let these guys get you down about your emblems... Its your car, do what you want and have fun with it. After all thats what its all about. I'm no stranger to modding vehicles, and have modded more bikes than I care to share here. There is a saying in the world of riding Harleys..... "the rarest Harley is a stock one"..... Have fun.

Well the way I looked at it was that if I didn't like them then I could always take them off fairly easily. Plus, that's all I plan on doing to her besides perhaps a slight tint.

You would think everyone would go easy on the new guy... I mean sheesh. This will only be my 12th post and the E only has 9,800 miles on it. I had an E320 for a short time before the E500 but it just wasn't doin it for me. I drove the E500 and fell in love... I had to have it.

Hey DWP...

Hey DWP, this one is for you. I know how much you like cars in front of mansions.

If you're going to tint your car, tint it right. Go to VEM Solar Solutions (Westport, MA) to get the Huper Optik Ceramic Tint. You won't be disappointed!

You asked the question....

I'm with Harley. If you like them great, but if you ask others their opinion then be prepared for answer that you might not agree with.

Note I haven't answered your question

Have a nice day,
John

HEY! Did Mercedes change the brake calipers on the E500? I thought they used to be 4 piston fixed with it saying "Mercedes-Benz" on the side?

Saw your post on the mini-harley. Very Funny! I guess Inch High is better than Inch Low....or Inch Sideways

I don't mind the change of seasons here but after New Years, Winter drags on. Heck, we're all excited here that it's going to be in the 50's the next couple of days....you probably think we're nuts.

I know you withdrew the "McMansion" comment, but I have to ask.... are you looking a different house than I am?? The house in the picture is nice, but come on, it's not THAT great!

<Back on Topic> I'm not a fan of the V8 symbol. A V12 symbol advertises something special; not a lot of cars out there with V12s under the hood. But the V8 is pretty common.

[QUOTE=Barry45RPM]I've heard of the "320" being removed since the 6 & 8 cyl. cars look the same at a quick glance... but why remove the "500"? If you were that "modest" to begin with, you coulda bought a 320 & added the 500's...QUOTE]
Funny thing, I guess people do to that...

the service guy at my local dealership thought I did this. After I asked him why I would do that, he didn't reply...he then checks the computer and goes..you're right, it is an e500. Whoa...talk about trying to downplay someone.

btw..everyone should know you have a v8 with your e500 on the back. no need to reiterate.

You're right. After looking at it again, it's not big enough to be a real, true, McMansion. It's also in a reasonably authentic Colonial style, unlike some of the Sheetrock palazzos and faux chateaux I see springing up in the treeless exurbs of Sacramento. I didn't concede that point before because I didn't want to further stir that particular pot.

i think you have them in the wrong place
it should be at least 2 inches more left and 6 inches higher
go for the whole thing: E55 AMG on trunk and V8 KOMPRESSOR on sides!
