i like to ride my bike
This thread is sooo funny.

I have been driving on the backseat of a benz since 1989
and the current w211 has the most space in the back
than any other MB my dad has owned. He has never owned
a w124 but we had one in the family and the w124 is never
bigger than the current eclass.

And, well about the comparison to the cclass I am still
lauging my *** off.

ahoy from chicago

Not trying to bash on the W124s since I think they were awesome cars during their time. In fact…. they’re still great cars, but for you to claim that the W124s is as spacious as the W220? Give me a break! Just look at the specs. Sure the W211 may be bigger by a few inches in every aspect, but it is NOT cramped as you claim it to be.

What bothers me about this post is that he says that the E is too small and not good enough for him and states that he should look at an S500 or S55 but as mbuskuhl pointed out, he can only afford a car for $20k. I feel so sorry for the sales force at the MB dealership because this is a perfect example of a customer that wants everything for nothing. Here is $20k now give me an S55.

sklasse, have you considered kia?

i hate this dig up this old thread just to say "I told you so"... but needed to show you how I could be right.

this poster says chicks dont think give him looks in his expensive car. Care to guess which car he has ? https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...70#post1561270

poor guy, shouldn't have mixed the price tag with thinking the car actually noticeably worht it. I've driven around a C class before and I can say yes hes right, since C and e looking somewhat similar. heck, even a Accord gets more looks than a E-class !
having a tight ride won't hurt with the chicks, but it shouldn't be an endall.

So you have to rely on a car to get a chick? Sad...

It depends on what kind of girl you are trying to get. Some girls love pick-up trucks but I wouldn't be caught dead with them. Given some of your comments of where you stand financially your social circle might not recognize a nice car, watch, clothes, etc. but people in our circle do.

The car has everything that we want, if you don't like it then get something else but don't keep telling us that it isn't worth what we paid because to us it is worth every penny. This is why there are so many choices out there. For example, I know you like your old benz but you couldn't pay me to own one. If I was forced to own it I would drive it off a cliff probably with me in it because I was so depressed to have a ratty benz.

Enough said...

My opinion. This coming from a nearly master certfied MB technician and having worked on hundreds of each example. The E class is worlds above the C in all aspects. You truly get what you pay for. Go ahead and compare the C class to the CLK but the E is in another league. Driving dynamics, features, fit and finish, quality of materials, everything. I drive an 06 E 350 and love it. I have had no problems whatsoever in nearly 9000 miles. I chose to update some bushings on the front end and that was about it. Working on the E's is what had me sold on buying one. Granted, I wish I could afford and alabaster white E55... but hey, someday.

Why do you guys, keep carrying on discussion with someone who think that he knows, but do not know that he dosent know.
If he does not know why an E55 cost like it does, then he has no clue as to what kind of car it is.Did he ask himself the question on why is the E55 the most sought after MB.
