Installed ebay exhaust...
I know, I know ... it looks dumb from the side.... I'm not done with it just yet. I purchased these a while back on ebay and like everybody else just had them sitting in the garage collecting dust. I actually like the tips them selves, and spoke with my service advisor on what I can do to not void my warranty.
So I'm now in the process of doing cut outs on my bumper (inspired by the other 2 threads) and will use the current modified tips (will cut about half off the joining point so the tips will be higher) and not void my warranty as well.
Here is a before pic with out the cut outs... not bad for $50 tips.

I don't think they look that bad... I would agree the cut outs look really nice and also AMG bumpers with tips look good too.
I am going to get a set myself... They don't look as great as some of the posts on here... but I think it looks better with them than without... I have seen some sets look really bad and other look good...

2 sets of double tips from ebay = $50/set
doing the cut outs = 6 hours
not voiding my warranty = priceless
The exhaust comes out on the outside ones only... the inside ones are "dummy" welded together from the top.

My SA just told me it would void any warranty work done to anything that might relate to the exhaust.... so your normal stuff should be okay... but if they find or decide your exhaust could have caused this and that then maybe... otherwise you should be fine.

I know the mufflers are not covered now but why would this affect any other warranty work? Am I missing something here?
Can we get some daytime pictures, or at least, brighter pictures of your exhaust mod? Its really hard to see clearly in those pictures.

I'm at work right now and probably can't do any pics until later tonight.
As for the cut-outs, I just traced the end of both tips side by side on a piece of paper.. measured accordingly... and started hacking away![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm acutally thinking of getting a "Y" adapter so I can have some smoke come out of the others as well...

I used a dremel to make the first cut... I left about 1/8 inch from my line so I can file it down to where I marked it which made it nice and smooth..... then applied a little MB touch up paint and that was it.

Hey guys - I got the AMG style dual exhaust tips from ebay... The driver side fits perfectly, however the passenger side does not fit....
spent a whole hour trying to twist and turn, but the tips just wont go in completely to align with the bumper....![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Anyone else had this issue ?? Look at the picture below ...
thank you
