Can I ask for a Euro version instead?
BTW: it's a 06 E350 w/ 300 miles on the clock.
However, keep in mind: there answer would likely be "no", but mostly because they are idiots (and idiots only do as they're told, and sometimes not even that much).
You could try providing them with a part number and pursuading them to order that part instead (read as: slipping them a $50), but as chenry said, your answer is likely to be "no".
Oh! And by CD Player, I take it you mean the CD unit attached to the COMAND; and by EURO version, I presume you mean the EURO COMAND headunit, right? Otherwise, I wouldn't see an advantage of one over the other.

I started playing with it and first found that it was not a Euro model and second, there were at least 100 stored locations - mostly So. California. I called and was told they have a program where if anything is wrong, they replace it with a "refurbished" model - which, of course, is fully guarenteed. I was not happy, but as my old one had already been shipped out there was not much I could do.
Last Friday I headed to the beach house for a few days. On Saturday I found that the whole navigation/radio system was dead, but the CDs in the changer still played. It's at the shop now, I assume receving yet another "refurbished" head unit.
I could have lived with the stuck CD in my Euro Navigation - could have gotten by with the changer. Wish I had known in advance...
For additional information regarding the differences between the two COMANDS and how to identify each one, refer to MBenzNL's site: http://www.mbenznl.com/products/w211comands.shtml
Happy reading!
