I've had a plastic emblem on the hood for over two years. It came in a package that looked OEM to me; DCX would presumably sic their lawyers on anyone who sold an emblem that wasn't at least licensed by DCX.

Some people have reported that the plastic emblem fades after a while. I haven't noticed any fading at all on my car's emblem, but then it's parked in a garage, so YMMV.

I dont care if it's plastic but as long as it's oem, i found some plastic emblems that are made in taiwan, the heavy metal one's are official oem.

LOL...you make a good point. I picked up a flat badge and specifically did NOT get plastic - so your post gave me a chuckle and a little slap of reality.

BTW, what bulbs did you use for your parking/city and fog lights?

I have yet to put my flat badge on - I'm kinda liking the 3 Star.

I ordered what was listed as an aluminum badge from some ebay scumbag and he sent the plastic oem version... I think it was about $27 w/ shipping.

It wasn't a battle I thought was worth fighting so I just threw the plastic badge on my car and it looks great.

Oh that reminds me I need to give him some negative feedback
