Fuse Chart - Turn Signal, Front Left
My turn signal (front left) ceased to function. I replaced the bulb (lamp?) and reinserted the bulb holder. That did not solve the problem. I switched the left and right turn signal holders, the left turn signal still refused to work. The right turn signal works fine with either bulb holder. I guess that means the problem is not with the bulb holders.
I am now thinking I have a blown fuse. My fuse chart however is missing (dealer probably forgot to put it back in fuse box). I looked in both locations (dashboard and trunk) and could not find a fuse chart.
If someone has the fuse chart for W211 (2003 E320), I would greatly appreciate your help. Please post the fuse chart; or, let me know which one controls the front left turn signal lamp.
Thanks, guys.

03 E320 -wife's car now; 07 Porsche Boxster S - my toy
Looked at my fuse chart (I also have an 03 E320) and there isn't any fuse listed for turn signals at all.
The chart is part# A2115450000 "Information page for fuses", and has fuse descriptions for both fuse box locations.
Since both lamp sockets work, have you put a voltmeter on the terminals and see if you're getting any power to the socket? I think there's an old TSB on the socket wiring.
Regards,
paul....

I had the same problem and after reading your fix I figured that the contacts for the bulb were not touching so instead of tightening the bulb all the way down I left it about 1/10 from the very end and it worked!!!!!!!!!
I was so frigin happy b/c I was about 2 seconds away from ordering a new light assembly. Saved myself a couple hundred bucks!

I have a 2003 E320, .....skipping the boring details.
Malfunction warnings come up left and right....Benz sucks
My recent:: Front Right Turn Signal Malfunction came up...called Benz they said close to $400 to change some sucket due to bad contact.
I am an electrical engineer...why in the hell I am calling benz...anyways they are referring to same sucket that you pull out to repalce the turn signal light bulb.
You will notice that there are two thin metal contacts, one of them/or both should have black corrosion, it looks like burns...
What I have done to confirm the cause is I have placed a small piece of Aluminum Foil around the corroded contact and BINGO, worked, the warning is gone and the light bulb started to flash at the same rate as the left side.
It has been working for weeks....did not cost a penny expect my 5 minutes time... hopefully it works for you Benz riders
Peace

Fix without new parts
I fixed the issue mentioned by konigstiger where there is "inadequate electrical contact between the turn signal bulb socket and the headlamp housing".
You could buy the repair kit but I was able to fix it without any new parts. The main issue is that the contact points aren't touching properly, so to fix this you can just bend the contact points (2 little L-shaped metal flaps) on the turn signal bulb socket outwards a bit with a flathead or something.
This should force it to make contact with the metal contact points in the headlamp housing. No need to replace parts because there's nothing mechanically/electrically wrong with it.
