Wind noise, window adjustments?
Hey all,
Has anyone here ever have any problems with wind noise? My car has a lot, seems to come from the front drivers side and passenger side windows. The dealer stated that the windows need to be adjusted to get them air-tight. They blame the shop that tinted my windows for failing to do this and want to charge me $1500.00 to do all 4 windows, 2 hours per window.
I spoke to the owner of the shop that did my windows and he says the dealer is wrong and there are no adjustments.
Any of you guys have this problem? Any thoughts?
Thanks...

I had this problem with the 03 e320 (6 months / 8840 miles) no tinting. They replaced all four window run channels and weather strips under warranty, problem solved. If they refuse, request that the dealer get the MBUSA Service and Parts Operations Manager (SPOM) involved.

if they are going to charge you $1500, then go to a tint shop, remove your tint, and then bring your car back and don't tell them you ever had them tinted. Then ask them to do the work under warranty. If they remember you had your windows tinted before, take it to a different dealer. After the windows been fixed, then redo your tint. It's a lot of hassle, but at least it won't be $1500.
