LED stock lights?

I recall seeing LED tail lights on 03 and perhaps 04 E class cars... and I know it was available as part of the appearance package... but when I look at what that package includes, I no longer see LED tail lights listed .... and the numbers of E-classes with LED rear lighting has decreased significantly. Is this still available or what?

Many thanks,
- Eric

I believe LED brake lights are standard on the E. The running lights and turn signals in the rear are still incandescent bulbs.

LED lights on the 06 are standard on the E500 or part of the appearance package. Maybe they'll be standard on all US models for 07. They should be. It's an expected feature these days. I would think it is cheaper to build them all the same and I can't believe LED light assemblies are any more expensive than traditional assemblies.

My thoughts exactly -- especially since other manufacturers such as Infiniti (and even Volkswagen!) are putting LED tail lights on their cars as standard. I like them for the slight bit of added safety, but don't get me wrong -- they also look much nicer than traditional bulbs. Lets not forget about them not blowing out ;-).

Thanks for the input!
