Newbie questions, pick up E350 Thurs...

Hi all,

I come from the BMW world, new to MB. Came across a great deal on a E350 4matic, prem pack, serius, black\black 27 mos lease, so got it for my wife. Couple of questions:

1. Is there a break in period on the engine?
2. How do you register for the 6 mos complementary serius? Will I have to pay anything?
3. Anything I should do at the dealer prior to pickup?

Anything else I should be thinking about?

Thanks all

There is no break in period if you only plan to keep it for the 27 months. Just 1. dive it and get it serviced when the book says.
2. There are many ways to turn on your Sirius. All are easy. You will have a serial number for your unit, which will pop up if you try to use the sat radio. An 800 number also comes up. Call them and they will tun it on. No fees and no credit cards.
3. I assume you are paying about $550/month w/ about $3500 down? If so, just enjoy.

Thanks guys. Yes, I have an E46 M3 and E 90 330i (for sale soon).

I noticed the requirement is premium gas - do you all religiously use premiem, or switch off sometimes to a lower grade? This is a lease w no intention for purchase at the end... tia!

You can try lower grades, but it MAY "ping". If not, it is not a big deal, if you do not care about extreme performance.

Again, all of this is with the assumption that it is just a car (hehe).

Congratulations on your new E350!

If you hate the look of all of the sticky labels everywhere as much as I do, you can ask your dealer to remove all of them prior to taking possession of the car! Their detail department did a nice job for me.

What labels...you debadged it? Hehe mine is, too But I always felt odd doing to a "smaller" model, since it would like I was posing as another?

Either way, i love the debadged look. If you mean all the safety stickers, I remove all of them including the Benz sign on the windshield

Buy Premium Fuel, like you're supposed to. The difference in what you spend between "Lower Grades" and Premium Grade/High Octane Fuel over the whole lifetime of the car (4 years+) is about $1000.00
