Does my car have SBC brakes?
Hi all,
I don't mean to stir the pot on the SBC issue, I just wonder if I have SBC brakes or not. I've done a search and haven't found the answer.
I took delivery of my 2006 E320 CDI on 4/29/06. I've not received any recall notice, the brakes work great, and I love the car. The owners manual refers to the brakes as electrohydraulic.
Thanks, Ed

Compare your VIN to the cars covered by recalls. Later production is ok.
Nothing is inherenetly wrong with SBC, just some minor details to improve.
Your MUCH better off having it.
Seems Mercedes has a few recalls and all hell breaks loose.
Toyota has recently recalled a million vehicles and Nissan has put "stop selling" orders out on 97K vehicle because of defective piston rings.
