Who here is upgrading from the current E class to the new E class? (m)
For those of you who have the current E class and are getting the new one, what are you doing with the old one? Trading it in or keeping it? Also, for those of you who are selling it, what kind of prices are you getting?

I sold my '99 E320 last fall in anticipation of the new E class to arrive in January, thinking that I would get the best price if I sold it a few months before the release of the new model. It had 78K miles, and I got $40,000. YES I KNOW... I HAVE BEEN TOLD I ROBBED THE PURCHASER. But he paid it, and he still loves the car. The Mercedes Mystique continues, you know.

i'm keeping both the E500 and the E430..love the 430 too much.
tell you about the differences in a week or two! hehe..
last time i went to the dealer, they said they could trade my 430 in for about 30-40k CAN? something like that.

I have a 1997 E420 with 27,000 miles and a 3yr 100,000 mile warranty left on it. Not sure what I will get on a trade its in great shape. A year ago I could have received $30,000 US. Now I hear its more like $20,000 will find out when the new one gets here. I hope it is Monday have had it ordered for a year. The old one has been a good car I still love it. If the dealer offers me less than 22,000 on a trade not sure what I will do. Maybe wait until Jan 2003 and save paying the extra taxes. Also I ordered the folding seats and the cd changer they were deleted. I don't care about the cd it can be added at the dealer but do want the rear folding seats. Alas getting the first one is also a cool thing what a dilemma.

I will keep my current E. I have too many regrets for trading in past cars. I'm becoming a collector, I guess. Plus, I just ordered my new Rover, and I have no plans of getting rid of the old one.
I've heard horror stories of people getting butchered on a trade. I say, if you have the driveway space, and the dough, I guess, why trade?!

I sold it 3 months ago so that I can get a good price for it, I sold it for LE 300,000 which is U$60,000
Please note that the new MB E 240 is LE 360,000 here in Egypt which is U$ 72,000, both are locally assembeled
