MBUSA Website Updated

I noticed that MBUSA.com now has information about the 2007 E-Class models listed. You can also "build your own" online (with pricing). The '07 E320 BlueTec is not on the list yet (the '06 CDI remains the only diesel option).

I'll be damned. It wasn't that way about 10:00 this morning (CDT).

Oh, and thanks Lou.

2007 E63
Sweet!! You can start building the E63. Still can't on the E AMG Wagons.

If you're interested in the '07 CDI, check out the thread "saw an '07 in dealer lot...". The Bluetec pretty much follows E350 equipment strategy but the price of the basic car has not yet been released.

Thanks. I have one on order, and am familiar with what's available. It would be nice if I could find out the base MSRP, though! Small detail...

Lou, if you take the E350 MSRP and add $1000 you will probably hit the nail right on the head.

My dealer tells me the ML CDI is only $200 more than the gas...

Too bad Lou isn't interested in an SUV. That sounds like a bargain.

Good idea, and if not precise, "close enough." Assuming that's the case, the '07 will run $1438 LESS than a comparably equipped '06!

Aren't you glad you waited for an '07? My E550 will be $1035.00 less than an identical 2006, even though I am paying $1300 Gas Guzzler Tax and the '06 had no tax at all!

2007 E550 and 2007 335i
Question

The mbusa website for the 2007 E class says that the E550 has transmission shift buttons behind the steering wheel can you conform this? I saw no mention of this in the new brochure and I even drove an E550 last weekend and did not notice it. Also it was not the E63 with the shift paddles.

thanks for your help

I am indeed. Cost aside, initial reports are that the steering feel and brakes are improved for '07. Another advantage of the '07 diesel over the '06 diesel (in my opinion anyway) is likely better mileage because of a more advanced engine and use of the 7-speed transmission.

I just checked the website, and you are correct. I guess we are getting an extra little "toy" feature that is not on the E350. Maybe matt55 can enlighten us. He has owned an E550 for about a week already.

I tried, but I couldn't find that. In what section was that mentioned?

I checked the "Specifications" page and it says it there.
http://www.mbusa.com/models/features...E550W&class=07

Doesn't say anything for the E350.

Fingertip Shift Buttons on E550

Fingertip shift buttons behind steering wheel are also found on the 2007 S550. It, of course, doesn't have a gearshift lever on the console with which to select gears manually. The 2007 CLS550 doesn't mention shift buttons, and it has the same steering wheel as the 2007 E-Class. I wonder if the website is incorrect.

Interesting. On the 550 it also says heated seats are std whereas the broshure claims an option package.

On the 350 it has a caveat in regards to the sunroo; when so equipped (std for 07).

Looks to me that MBUSA needs help with their site again.
