2006 E500 4Matic value

How much is an 06' E500 4Matic with Panoramic roof, NAVI, all options worth? The car has 8000 miles on it and has never seen a bodyshop and is 100% showroom perfect. It's black on saddle leather. Searching ebay and autotrader doesn't show too many examples to base a price for the car, but I'm guessing in the $53-55K range. Does that sound semi accurate? It's my uncles car and we want to dump it asap. The car is paid off as well. Thanks in advance.

It depends on how fast you want to sell it. The market for 50k+ used cars is pretty small, and you don't have the benefit of a showroom or a sales force to sift through the potential buyers. You should be able to get 49-50k in a heartbeat, but 53-55 isn't out of the question if your willing to work for the right buyer. Good luck.

I agree completely. Customers are now getting $10K discounts on existing inventory new E500s. So a relatively loaded 2006 E500 can be had brand new for about 53-55K. It makes no sense for someone to pay that for a used car unless they are uninformed about the market. I would put it in the market for $50K and sell it ASAP -- as long as the offer is over 49K I recommend that you accept it. The value of 2006 E500s are going to go down a lot the next several months because of the upgraded 2007 E550 model. Also don't forget that car is depreciating almost $750-$1,000 each MONTH since it is at the steepest point of the depreciation curve. I'm not sure how much sense it makes to keep trying to sell this vehicle for months when it keeps depreciating more. I would sell it at a reasonable price ASAP. Unfortunately selling a new car during the first year involves a big hit financial hit Good luck!

I'm curious, why is your uncle selling the car?

Also very good advice. Like fish, these things start to stink when left sitting for too long. In a year you'll lose another 10k probably, so take the best offer over 49 in the next 30 days.

My uncle is going away on buisiness for about a year which is why he'd like to free up some money I guess. Thanks for all the advice. I think he's prepared to let the car unload for $48K if the offer is serious. I'll make a real for sale thread with pics for him in the next week. Thanks again Everyone.

I will try to do it asap. Sometime this week, I'll make the trip to his house to take the pics. My uncle is even more computer retarded than I am. LOL.
