Beautiful! Beautiful Vehicles
Had a chance to drive both the E320 and E500 at a MB sponsored event held this past weekend at FedEx Field outside of Washington, DC. The styling is a little more rounded than previous and the luxury is greater. The new electronics make this really a car of the future -- but here today.
Some of the options include the panorama sun roof (from the C-Coupe) and the really "smart" key. Just have the key in your pocket and from 30 feet away it "communicates" with the vehicle. Touch the car and it unlocks -- touch the top of the shifter and it starts/stops. No more fumbling for keys -- ever!
All E's sold in US market come with Contis as original tires -- regardless of wheel size. MB signature headlamps are sharp and sets the car apart. Another option is the dopler in the front that maintains driver set distance from car in front while cruise control is engaged. They slow down -- you slow down instantly. Unfortunately the courses they set up were too short to be able to try this feature out.
Otherwise, it was a fun afternoon running both E's through their paces....

my feelings are the same....
i too attended the event at FedEX and the car was everything i hoped it would be and more! the sports package looks great on this car. this one is a real keeper!
