some slow@$$diesels
plenty of people did...however if you have a euro comand with a US spec phone controller - you will not get a phonebook downloaded into your headunit

How would i or dealer know if i have the US spec phone controller? If i have the US spec phone controller,could it be flashed or reprogrammed?
(I am pretty handy reading into the hidden menues)

since you have a US spec 2003 W211 your car comes with a teleaid module that has the phone module build in - that is etremely US spec and cannot be changed unless you go through some rewiring and swapping of hardware...
