Only a battery/electrical system load test can determine which if any of the electrical components in the vehicle's charging/battery systems is going bad if any.
I have gotten so many erroneous warnings in the MFD that I tend to ignore them if they don't stay in memory after restarting... but if they randomly appear 2 times or more I pay attention to see if its really an intermittant problem or just bad advice.

Best bet is to call roadside assistance and they will come to your home and replace the battery for free if you are under warranty.(If not you pay the price of the batter). I am guessing it is the battery under your hood that has gone bad since the trunk one is used for accessories and you get a message that says all accessories are temporarily disabled.

tariq,
If your car is still under warranty, bring it in. If not, you can test both batteries easily with a voltmeter. I just recently had the same problem but it was due to the aux battery dying, so I replaced it (64K miles on the car).
More importantly, just because that message comes up, it is not just the battery that's the problem -- it could be other components in the battery/alternator/BCU system that could be faulty.
Regards,
Paul...

well note that the problem was from the rear battery, but its advised by the agent that if you want to chage that one you need to change the front as well, well technically i have no idea about the reason but its highly recomended to change both in case if you have problem with one of the two...

You're right -- there is nothing wrong with that -- I just would have tested the aux battery to see what condition it was in before making a decision to replace it -- my $0.02 worth.

...on the other hand, they're both the same age & have been used the same amount of time... I'd figure I'd rather tie the car up in the service department once instead of twice. Also, if they are both replaced it eliminates a possible witch hunt if the problem reoccurs down the road a bit.

You stated another good point. I tend to test and analyze the hell out of everything before I make a decision.

Where did u do it?
Where did you change them Tariq,
I had the same problem, I changed the rear battery myself and then I took it to Sharjah Gargash to change the small front one. The battery is for 100$original but not from the dealer, the dealer charged me with fixing it 400$.

Thanks man, I know this guy, but I didn't have a nice experience with him. I had a 600 coupe he kept for two month at the garage coz he couldn't figure out the problem and wanted me to pay 4000 $ US but I tow it to another workshop and fixed it for 150$ US.
