Adding Satellite, NAV and Ipod
Hello all:
Thanks to the Classified forum I now have an '06 COMAND installed in my '03 E500 Sport. Was wondering how involved adding the above would be, in terms of cabling etc - I understand that the actual hookup is pretty straightforward but that you need to add the MOST ring wiring etc throughout the car. Also, anyone recommend someone in the Boston area to do this?

The MOST fiberring is already in your car.
If you want to get nav, you can mount a navigation drive in the trunk of your car (pre-wired, if you have US spec W211).
It is very likely that your car is NOT pre-wired for SAT, meaning that you will need an additional wiring harness to get it installed and working.
Integrated iPod kit is possible in combination with comand. It will replace the AUX input that comes with the DVD comands - but maybe you didn't get the AUX, since you have a retrofitted comand unit. Still possible to add the iPod kit, though. Do keep in mind, that you need to run an additional wire for this option to (from the back of your car to the front)...

Integrated iPod kit works with W211 DVD comands... not in combination with Audio 50. If your W211 has DVD comand in dash, you can definitely get the iPod kit installed.
