E500 automatic oil change and part numbers
I am changing the oil in my transmission and rear diff. on my 2003 E500 (5-speed). Does anyone have the correct torque tightening values for the bolts on the rear diff and the automatic oil pan? Also, I am looking for the following part numbers:
-Automatic transmission filter
-spark plugs
-engine air cleaner insert
-fuel filter
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks

Frank,
I pulled some of this stuff of the Russian site that has an online EPC:
http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb.asp
ATF items: pan gasket: 140271008; pan filter: 1402770095; seal ring (on drain bolt): 1402710060.
Spark plugs are Bosch F8DPP332.
Air filter: I have an 03 E320 and I think the air filters are the same. I'll check at home for the air filter part number (they come in a pair) anyway.
Fuel filter: Sender 2114704094, Harness 2114400507, bracket 2114700241. The bracket and harness are needed because MB changed the tubing size on the filter (larger now) and one of the connectors on it. The bracket goes on the fuel pump. BTW, all of this stuff is in the fuel tank.
I may also have some info at home on the transmission torque data -- sorry -- can't help on the rear end differential.
You should really call a dealer and give the parts guy your VIN and ask him what the part numbers are (and how much they cost).
Regards,
paul....
