Improved Handeling
Hi all,
I've been away for a while now, my 04 is just not hip enough for this 07 crowd. It coming time for another lease soon and I am pretty much on the line. Here is what happened. My other toy is this nasty looking monster:
Well when it needed some repairs recently the dealer gave me a 325 BMW as a loaner for a few weeks. I gotta say that I was very resistant to drive it around but I ended up (an my BMW buddies are gonna give me some serious isht for this) really liking the handling of the car. And even though it was the 325 I could bet that it was faster if not as fast as my E320.
Anyway, I still like my car a lot more as it is the most beautiful car I can imagine I knew you'd agree. And for my next car I would like to either one of the following:
1) Lease new 07 model CL when it comes out
2) Buy used E55
3) Look to another brand (audi, bmw..)
Anyway, now the question, what have you guys done to make this ride sportier? A lot more tight? How much did it cost you?
Is it something you think I could do to the CL?
Does the E55 have a much tighter ride or is it pretty much the same airbed type of feel?
Thanks

We carry FSD shocks for your car that would improve the performance and handling department while not detracting from the smooth stock ride quality. You also would not have to deal with a lowered car as your ride height would be left untouched

BMW FTW
Just something floating around I heard that the 320 with sports package will pull considerably more G's on a skid pad than a E55.. Best thing to get better handling fast is to change out your tires, go for some Michelin tires.

I have some awesome Dunlop SP9000 tires on there now and they handle great but on a sharp turn the car gets a LOT of roll. Also on a very quick stop I get a LOT of roll (or yaw which ever is right
And I agree tires do make a huge difference but I am more interested in suspension mods that are reasonably priced.

well if I go with the 07 I'll probably go with an E55 and that was the other part of my question , how much tighter is the handeling of the E55 vs. regular W211?
