Prospective new E550 owner
hi, we are thinking about picking a new E550 up within 2~3 weeks. I was wondering when the new design/models r coming out? is it MY2008 or 2009?
What is the MPG people r getting in the E550?
What is the price going rate respective to the invoice price?
and can someone recommend a dealer/salesman in the SoCal area for a good deal/service (714/949/562 area preferred)..
Dealer is very important to me.. we bought a BMW from Shelly BMW in Buena Park and it was a nightmare to get service and NEVER again would be even go near that place ever again...
thanks in advance

1. I am averaging about 25 to 28mpg in an S550 which has the same engine and transmission as the E550 but weighs a hell of a lot more.
2. If you want invoice you can get one at Laguna Niguel. Talk to Vadim, or James there. Vadim is a sponsor of this site.
3. Laguna Niguel. Dont even bother with Fletcher IMO.
Come to Laguna Niguel for sure they will take damn good care of you.

There are two schools of faith on when the W212 - the next-generation E-class - will appear. Some are partial to model year 2009, appearing in 2008, but the majority view seems to be model year 2010, appearing in 2009. The W210 ran for seven years and it's reasonable to assume that the W211 will run that long, since the next-generation BMW 5-Series supposedly isn't due until MY 2011.

i was pretty dissappointed in the E550 after the test drive..
the car seemed very dated for a $65k car.. i might just pay the extra $5k and get the new LS460..
that and the salesman let me drive it ONE BLOCK.. it was sad.. i think i hit 25mph...
