- open the trunk and look at the inside of the rear shelf and see if the there is at least a subwoofer there (not always HK, was also stock till 2004).

- look at the radio and select TONE and see if PRO LOGIC SURROUND is an option.

The 2003 may be different, if that's what Ecin has.

The window sticker for my 2003 lists "Premium Sound System" as part of a $1550 "E2 Value Added Package" which also includes the sunroof. I assume that's the HK audio. Pressing the hard key with the two notes on it brings up a screen with an "Options" softkey. Choosing "Options" brings up a choice of four audio modes, one of which is "Logic7".

My '03 has a subwoofer under the package shelf but doesn't have door badges referring to anything but airbags.

Yeah, if the soft menus say Logic 7, that's the HK sound system.
