On some (but not all) posts, I see a small box with a red X inside where someone has posted a photo, and I can't see the photo.

Is there a setting on my computer need to change?

If you go into "User CP" (control panel) you can change your settings.

On the left hand side click on "edit options"

Check the Show Images box and you should be good.

A lot of people upload their images on photobucket, imageshack, or hotlink from another website. Some of these images may no longer exist, hence the red X.

Thanks, but it was already checked. Also, even though I have the same User Profile on my home computer, I have no problem viewing photos on that computer. I only have this problem with my computer at work. Both use Windows XP Professional and the same version of Internet Explorer.

The problem is probably that your network at work blocks out certain sites. If an image a user posts is hosted on a site that your server blocks, that picture will not display on your computer. If this is actaully was is happening, there is no fix unless your network administrator unblocks those sites

That's not it either. When a site is blocked out (and many are), you get a clear message that states that the site is restricted. On certain pictures, posted on the MBWorld Forums, I just see a small box with a red x in it. It must be a setting on my computer at work that needs to be changed.

Take a look at the link to another MBWorld Forum thread below. I can't view any of the photos in DFWDude's posts, but I can see almost all the others (including the one with the red C-class photos):

Thanks.
