Urgent Help Pls (SBC)

Hi All.

currently, my 211 show a red warning lamp display "Brake Failure Visit Workshop". After diagnose the vehicle, the fault was pressure accumulator sensor faulty.

Can any1 tell me what is this Pressure Accumulator Sensor and it's location.
Also what is the procedure to bleed the SBC system?
All help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

mike

The sensor tells the system how much pressure is in the accumulator. Best bet with any SBC issue is to go to a dealer. You can be injured or can damage the system if you do not know what you are doing. In addition, brakes are an critical component.

Have your dealer fix it. It will be under warranty.

that is IF he still has warranty...either way your going to the dealer just that you might end up paying out of pocket a grand or two.

SBC components are warranted for 10 years/unlimited mileage.

Take it to the dealer.

Also, it's safe to change pad/rotors if you know what you are doing but I sure wouldn't try to bleed the brakes. Early on, many SBC failures were due to dealers doing it incorrectly.

Only the SBC Hydraulic Unit is covered for 10 years/no mileage limitation. All remaining components are covered for the normal 4 years / 50,000 miles. And the SBC must be bled with menu-assisted STAR Diagnose System (SDS).

As a matter of reference, SBC must be bled after the replacement or removal/installation of the following components: Hydraulic Unit, Brake Operating Unit, Suction Line, Pressure Reservoir, Brake Lines, Brake Fluid Reservoir, Brake Hoses, or Brake Calipers.

If you want a copy of the extended warranty details and/or SBC bleeding procedure forward your email address by PM.
