I have the same issues w/my '03 E500. Antenna is mounted under rear package shelf. No signal under overpasses or in my garage. Just got my '07 ML320 CDI. Receprion is better; plays under overpasses and in my garage!
Is it improved antenna array? Improved receiver (sensitivity)?
Why are our expectations different than for satellite TV? Anyone with those knows that the dish has to have a clear unobstructed view of the sky. Even trees will block the signal. During rain storms reception is sometimes lost.
