2003 E 322/500 owners and oil leaks

I have been told by friends that the 2003 E series has problems with oil leaks.

Is this true?

Does it include the E 500 Series?

Let me know because there are many 2003 E Series in good condition for sale and MB has 1.9% financing. Even many are certified. Do you think it is okay?

2003 E320
Only oil leak I have had on a 2003 E320 was a minor transmission leak that was fixed under warranty bythe dealer in about ten minutes. Common and easy to fix problem.

2003 E500 Benz & 2015 BMW M235ix
I bought a certified 2003 E500 from my local dealer in Sept 2005 and haven't had any problems with oil leaks......actually no problems at all other than minor stuff covered by the warranty. My vehicle had only 21,000 miles on it and I just hit 33,800. Had the original Continental tires but I replaced them with Pirelli tires from TireRack.com which ride well but seem a little noisy.
