Wheels

I have an 03 E500 Sport that came with 17" wheels. My question is, will 16 inch wheels from 03 E320 fit my car? It's for winter tires/rims that I saw for sale.

they will fit perfectly since both cars are W211 chassis. motor size is irrelevant to wheel fitment.

Are you guessing or do you you have any real knowledge or experience with this. The reason I ask is aside from the non-relevant motor size, the rotors for the Sport model, 320 or 500, are different than standard model.

The basic E500 has bigger calipers...I would try it on first. front and rear

Interesting then. I never knew there would be a variation of calipers from the V6 and V8. I only expected it on the AMG cars. So I could be wrong, but I guess the only way to find out is to try swapping the wheels and see for yourself. Would like to see the results myself.

I went through the search myself...tried to put some AMG replicas on my E500 from tirerack. It showed for the E320 but not for the E500 'cause of the differnt size of calipers and inner wheel clearence.

The current "Genuine Mercedes Benz Accessories - Wheels" catalog states for both 16-in wheels listed: "not for E500, E500 4matic or E55 AMG."

Kent, thank you very much. I'm glad you found that. Was not having any luck with anyone who actually tried it. You know if they fit those cars, MB would list it so they could sell more 16's. I appreciate all the feedback. Greg

KosherBenz: Please provide more details about the wheels you have......they look great. I'd like to replace the existing 17" OEM alloy wheels on my 2003 E500 but would prefer they be 17" so retain using my new tires bought just a few months ago. Thanks.
