S211: E-Class T-Model - News and Spy-Photos!
2003: E-Class T-Model - elegance, volume and Bi-Xenon curve light
AutoBild, 06.09.2002
For the T-model of the e-class the starting signal falls in March 2003. Although the new combination from all perspectives works more filigree than its predecessor, the volume of the load compartment remains unchanged. The trick: The stowage boxes under the baggage compartment floor were added to the load volume. The front is identical to the sedan, tail lights decorate back, which cross into the now less massive working rear flap.
The Engines will be the same as in the sedan variants, including for end of 2002 advised 1,8-Liter-Kompressor-engine with 163 HP, the 400 V8-CDI with 250 HP, an AMG version with the 5,5-Liter-Kompressor-V8 (476 HP)... The low end Diesel E 200 CDI (122 HP) will not be available for the hatchback.
The active curve light celebrates world premiere with the new T-model, whose Bi-xenon-headlight follows the steering movements. Further novelties: Remote maintenance and tightening assistance for the rear flap, an extendable load soil and an extended Distronic, which is to work also in stop and Go-traffic.

Well, of course these are only spy shots - it's back is camouflaged, so you'r only be able to imagine how it will look like.
But I think it will be one of the best station wagons ever
