Time to purchase new DD :)
1. Volvo S80 V8 AWD - fully equipped
2. E350 Sport - fully equipped
3. Acura TL-S - 6speed
4. BMW 530i
I am leaning towards the S80 just cause its the newest and I love the design and features. This will replace the 05 TL.

Do you still own those cars listed in the sig? If so, just take the TL. If not, maybe the TL-S. I would not buy a Benz or Bimmer solely for daily driving as I know for sure German reliability is not on par with Jap reliability.

Stay away from Acura's. I've got a TL and on my 3rd transmission. It is an expensiive car to maintain, even though it comes cheap with all the
features std. To replace each bulb was 140 + labor. To replace an ignitor was $250+ labor, which involved takingt he bumber out. You are just going for the HP in Acura - no real handling or quality - might as well get a Honda. All the parts are stamped Honda anyway
I do several trips back and forth to Houston - about 300 miles, done it in both cars - the MB feeling is nothing to compare against. NOt even the tiredness.
You can't comapre to the safety of the MB to any other car.
Family memebers own Volvo's - they swear they will never buy one again.
BMW - in my opinion is such a dot-com car. The people who just made $$.
Stick to a MB - has more class, safety and great ride.

I am leaning towards the S80 simply because it offers a lovely V8 with AWD for around 50K and with all options roughly 60K or less with dealer haggling. However, all I really want is Nav, and premium sound.
I am also liking the styling, its subtle and doesnt scream look at me like the 5 series.

Already have an E Jangy. And we cant get Bluetec here in California. I wont buy a used car. A fully specd 550i is north of 65K.

One of the cars you tell us to vote for was an E350, wasn't it? Sorry about that.
You don't have to buy used to get one from another state. Just a thought.
Hmmm, I don't know about the Volvo. I never paid much attention until recently. I guess of those, I'd have to give it a shot.
Good luck with your decision. I love buying a new car.

Hell, at LEAST drive one before you decide on the Volvo. Can't hurt.
(or you could spend a teensy bit more $ and get the RS4 - 420 HP with a 6 speed manual)

I've drove one a few times (an employee of mine) and i judt did not find it to be all that. The RS4 on the other hand is a true beast
Also the interiors on the Audis are way too similar to their VW counterparts for me.
