What comes different on the Saks 5th ave. models? Obviously the wheels are different but what else is different on yours than a regular E-Class? The reason I ask is my wife is enamored with the Saks 5th Ave R500. To me, it just looks like a standard R-class with AMG appearance package.

the saks fifth edition has the e63 front and rear bumpers and a light cream/white colored interior with a few other things like bixenons, etc...it's a $9k package that makes the sticker price somewhere around $59k...
saw one in person in a showroom and it looked great..

MBUSA really ought to provide more rim-ordering flexibility. Those 5 spoke rims are user-selectable options in many other markets (eg the UK), and I think they look vastly better than either of the choices on the 07 US variants (either the 'old sport' style wheels which are now standard on the E550, or the 'new sport' 10-twin-spoke nightmare-to-clean wheels which will come on my 07 E550 sport).
At the very least they could offer it as a 'pay the difference' option so buyers don't have to go right to the parts bin and pay full price at a US dealer.
grumble grumble ... .
Still, gotta love the look of those 5 spoke rims.

This 07 has the backend from the little detail I can see it has the correct lights but the front end (again detail not good) does not look 07 as it seems to missing the chrome accents around the foglights

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
The Saks 5th Avenue edition is 1 of 1000. Mercedes makes a contribution to womens cancer charities. I contribute to the charity, and it is worthy of your attention. The car is nicely dressed, with a exterior and interior not available in other cars. It has AMG front and rear bumpers, wheels, and paddle shift on the steering wheel. What I find desirable is the light colored seats, the panorama roof, and the black headliner. There is a pot of other toys that would be found on a nicely equipped E class. The only missing items are keyless go and parktronic. The car is equipped as follows:
170:Sienna Black
825:Black/Sahara Beige Leather
413:Panorama Sunroof
428:Steering Wheel Gearshift Buttons
486:Sport Suspension
615:Bi-Xenon Active Light System
619:Cornering Fog Lamps
732:Black Maple Wood Trim
772:Sportline
792:18" Monoblock Wheels
389:Phone Prewiring
530: DVD COMAND Navigation
536:SIRIUS Satellite Radio
540:Power Rear Window Sunshade
810:Harman/Kardon Sound System
819:6-Disc CD Changer
232:Garage door Opener
242:Power Passenger Seat/w memory
264:License Plate Holder
275:Power Driver Seat and Steering Column with Memory
293:Rear Side Airbags
301:Ashtray
309:Cupholders
359: Digital Teleaid/Cell Phone Prewiring
427:7-Speed Automatic Transmission
524:Paint Protection
543: Double Sun Visors
551:Anti-Theft Alarm System
581:Mutli-Zone Climate Control
634:First Aid Kit
673:Heavy Duty Battery
690:Spare Wheel(Mini)
763:Remote Key with Panic Button
875:Heated Washer System
I'd like to ask Cavadini in Nebraska what was the bottom line? I am haggling to pick one up in the next month. Happy Holidays to me!

Thanks for the nice comments guys! Mine does not have the paddleshift option. I havn't seen any of them with paddle shift though...
I will take pics soon during the day to really show off the paint. It's got a beautiful brown/red metallic in it that really comes out when the sun hits it. It also has the Sahara Beige/Black interior that is an option on the sport package, but is really rare to see at dealerships. It does not have the AMG E63 bumpers like mentioned above. It has an AMG styled front bumper but it deos not have the "gills" in the side by the wheel wells like the e63 has.
I really love the car and will get those other pics up soon. I have been working 12 hour days+holidays etc. so have been very busy.

That car is wonderful and the paint is spectacular too. I think the Saks Edition E350 is my favorite Benz right now. I saw several of them at different dealerships. I just wish it came in 4Matic, then I would have had a hard time not trading in my C for that car!

Saks E Class just purchased
I too purchased a Saks E class. Dealer took the E 350 off the back. I see other E owners, looking at my Saks, wondering what kind E it is. The only thing I may do is ad 5% tint all the way around. Any thoughts on 5% tint on a black E?

I was going to go dark dark on mine also but I am just going to go with 20 all the way around. I think 5 is too dark, show off the inside with that beautiful Sierra Beige and let people see it. Half the beauty of that car is inside.

Cavadini, Do you mind if I ask what you were driving before the E Saks?
We traded in a 1998 Audi A6 (newer body style) Always garaged and in great condition. The dealer tried to steal it for $4500.00 Finally got them to go to
6K. The funny thing about the new E is it feels about the same as the old Audi only faster and a bit quieter.

Personally I wouldn't put any tint on, I like just the slight blue tint that the sport models come with already. But it's your call. Not sure where you guys are from, but I guess around here not as many people tint their windows as on the west coast. It's rare for me to see a car with tinted windows in my area.

tint
I actually bought this car for my Russian mail order bride. She is the one that wants the 5% tint more than me. Maybe she doesnt want to be seen with an old goat like me LOL! I could go with a bit less dark. We are from the Dallas area. We have a lot of tint here in Texas as it is very hot. We have a big drought going on in North Texas with sunny days. The tint seems to help keep the car cooler.
