A couple pics of my S211 sport pack. No 4matic No Airmatic, what a great car its been.
I got it a couple years back to replace my S210. That replaced my BMW E34 Touring.
Man I love euro wagons!
All w211s feel like a boat compared to the w203. There's no hiding the weight.
Kinda what I am finding out. Took the E350 in for its new fuel tank under warranty and asked them to look specifically at the struts... they were fine. Got another set of new tires. Same. I can live with it.

Nice! Is it E320 or E500 rwd? I've only see one e320 rwd sport wagon.

Well, I did a thing this week... and have a hard decision to make, 2008 black or 2007 white (with 57k miles)? Such a first world problem to have.
Normally I would pick the white cars any day, over and over.... however in this case, try to avoid that 07!! the early 07 and earlier models suffered from balance shaft issue!! very expensive and difficult to fix. 08 and newer models dont have this problem.

Sorry having to correct you there. Not ALL 2007 cars are affected by the balance shaft issue. One needs to check. I had a 2007 E350 which was NOT affected. So one cannot say that ALL 2007 vehicles are affected!

Houston you are correct. The white 2007 has an engine serial number well after the suspect batch. No issue here. Except black or white.

Guess the point by now is mute, .............. You went with black. ;-)
Well... actually... I now have both. Hence the little problem. My wife is a saint but I am not sure I should keep both, although that would solve the problem.

Now why would you want to keep both? Unless one would be for your wife?
I vote for the white one, love the dual colored interior!

Nah, I can't keep them both And I just got my wife a new-to-her Lexus SC430 which she loves. I don't think I had any votes for the black one and, although it is the cleanest used car I have ever purchased (and I have bought hundreds), I am leaning towards the white one. And I agree, the dual color interior is what drew me to this one. If anyone wants a gorgeous low mileage black E350, I might have just the car for you.

You should learn how to read!! I clearly stated "EARLY 07 AND EARLIER MODELS". I never said "ALL 07". If your engine was within affected range, doesnt mean it will happen, BUT also doesnt mean it willl never happen!! The only fact is IT HAS NOT HAPPENED, YET!! High chances it will happen... I have 2 M272s within affected range right now. Nothing happened yet... but it suck always have to be aware that it may happened anytime. For new owners who bought the cars without knowing this existing issue, it suck to find out afterward, or have to pay for big repair bills not long after when it happened.
For people who claimed "but you can check in 15 mins...etc...". Why bother?? if it has not happened yet, check will not show anything!!. If check and it shows breaking down or already broken, then you will have no choice but to fix it with a big bill. Rather wait until it break (you will know), then fix it....
just like you, I would pick the white car too. But logically, the black car is a better choice. With that generation of W211, there was so many flaws everywhere. The later the cars, the more chances they would has improved/fixed/upgraded the parts/designs. For instance, the balance shaft issue, transmission conductor plate (NG1,2, 3...ETC).
I have no issue with that white car (infact I own a 07 white 350), but from the pictures you posted (need to clarify again, otherwise others gona jump on my again), the front bumper seems to be missed align with the hood (next to the grill, on driver side). It could be just the pictures, or missed aligment, or previous accident.... you should check with previous owner, if you care..
After I posted the message about, I inspected the pictures again, and Im quite certain the white car has been in an accident at the front/driver front fender!!. The driver front fender has a strip/highlight/stitch on (or whatever you call it)... that doesnt match the rest of the car, plus the missed align front bumper!! Not that it make any different if it was a minor fender bender.... but fact is fact!!

Nope. Looked it over very carefully. No accident damage. The pinstripe matches on both sides, although it is kinda weird they are only on both front fenders. I did notice the bumper a little loose where it attaches to the radiator support (thin black plastic assembly) but the black one is the same way. One of the few things I might have designed differently (yes I am an engineer by trade for almost 40 years).

Decision made easy. Figured I would test the waters and locally listed the gorgeous black one. It sold in less than 24 hours to the first person who looked at it. Man, I will miss it. But now on to the gorgeous white one.
