Black Bird's Eye and Charcoal
Reading through another post, and after having viewed the E500 Sport, I think I concur that the Burl Walnut wood is more dramatic than the Black Bird's eye.
But, alas, the Sport Package has so much to offer. So, my ordered car is Obsidian Black with Charcoal Interior and Black Bird's Eye wood. This will definitely be a sleek, black look.
But, I don't know it this is TOO black. Does anyone have a photo of the Charcoal Leather/Black Birdseye interior? If so, please post.

don't worry about it. i've seen black on charcoal E500's in hk before and they are fabulous. they look stunning. just keep it clean its goign to be great!

Charcoal/Black Bird's Eye Maple looks absolutely awesome in person....with the white gauges, aluminum trim (plenty of contrast for me). Not to mention, the Charcoal Sport interior will most closely resemble the E55 interior. I think it offers the sportiest look out of them all and being the easiest to maintain in nice also.

Naturally, different strokes for different folks!
My current E is Black with Charcoal. And it's an awesome look. The Burl Walnut has been a nice contrast, but the Black Birdseye eliminates all that contrast. For some, it's too dark. But, with only black and silver on this new car, for my taste, it's a winner!

W212 E350 AMG E63 Pack.
Well Miami, I'm on the same boat, mine will be Brilliant Silver, but here in Panama like in Europe mine will be "Avantgarde". I ordered it with charcoal, AMG Package, and the BlackBirdseye Maple/Leather Steering Wheel.

I have black/charcoal/black bird's eye maple now and have never been thrilled with it. Wish I had the burl (brown wood), but that's just a personal thing. Obviously the powers that be at MB determined long ago that more people favor the all-black versus the black/brown.
Guess that puts you in the majority, MMBD.
