interior part question

Does anyone know how I can find out a part number for interior molding? I need to replace the molding (covered in fabric) on the driver side just below the roof. I got INK on it.

Attached is a picture of the piece - only I need it for the driver sdie.

Thanks!

Your dealer should have that information readily available at the parts department

A pillar trim piece. Take your VIN to your dealer and they will get it for you.

If its Sharpie ink, denatured alcohol will remove it. Ball point can be removed with brake fluid.... but I would try VM&P Naphtha 1st. (Dab, don't scrub.) What have you got to lose?

You might also consider checking a junk yard for the part. Maybe a car was totalled due to a side or rear hit.

I tried alcohol - with no luck. It got to the point where the fabric started to come off....so I actually made it worse. UGH!!

Barry's giving you the best advice. It should pull the ink. Naptha is sold in paint stores.

Commonly sold as Energine, this also does a great job on removing sticker glue (ie sunvisor warning stickers).

Good luck.
