Kleemann tuning box
Kosher B,
Just found out you do not know either where to buy those CLS rims. Thats OK. I shall look out for some myself.
What is your experience with the Kleemann tuning box? Any drawbacks or is it all good? Any problems with the dealership when you are getting warranty work done or is it all stealth? In my area there is only Kleemann no Carlsson.
Your experience would be much appreciated.

Evan: Check your PM's
Evan:
I Have the original 18" AMG Sport Package wheels and tires with only 3500 miles on them sitting in my garage.
My car now has 19" rims on it.
If you don't want them let me know, so I can tell these other peeps the details.
Later:

Its big and Grey!
Thanks, but I picked up a set of rims for her.
Harkar,
The box is not detectable by their computer, it must be visually seen and that is not easy as the box is located under the cabin air cleaner. The power is definitely noticeable, but under hard acceleration for more than 3-4 seconds there is some visual smoke.

they were not what was promised in his description, so I asked for my money back. He refused, so open a paypal dispute. Damn.
he said they were in "very good condition with a scratch on one rim" in fact 3 of the 4 rims were curbed. BS.

Rears too big?
KB,
I just sent off a private message to you before I realize your mom needs a set of CLS 500 wheels too. The E-Bay set is ideal for her at $1,600.00 plus shipping. I shall go look for another set.

Can you still confirm if they will fit 2006 CDis? Someone said the rears stick out too much.

There is no smoke like black smoke

Thanks. How much did you pay for your KD box? Any charge for installation and how long did it take?
Upsolute does a re-flashing (or whatever the term is) of the ECU which is supposed to be both cheaper ($500) and superior to the Kleemann. Which would you recommend?
Stealth is all important for warranty reasons. Also I want to be able to disconnect and return the car to stock when I sell, if I wanna sell.

the rims are all yours, I am trying to get one more "fat 5" to replace a damaged one.
AS for the Kleemann, it is very well hidden and both my mom and I have it on our CDI's and both dealers have been unable to detect it.
