E350-4matic lease, are these good numbers?

Im about to lease a E350 4-matic which has an MSRP of $59,665, Invoice of $56,442 and the dealer is letting it go for $56,942 (500 above invoice). The lease 15K miles a year with 2396 down (1st month, cap, title, tags, bank fee, etc) comes to 835 a month. Is this a good deal? I know there is a $5000 dealer discount on E's but I've been told this doesn't apply to 4matics? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The dealer is in the NY/NJ area.

2007?

There is $2k in CAP reduction trunk money on Es through the end of the month. How many months? Is it a 2006 or 2007? Lease also depends on your credit score. Base MB MF is .00300 for December. Residual is 69% for 15k.

I got just over $6k off on mine plus the $2k trunk $. You need to work on them a little more if you are at $56,942.

My $.02.

No Money Down!!!!

O.K. Deal - but I think you could get them down to 799.00 a month.... Plus no money down if your work it harder... I'm guessing this is a Mercedes 27 mos lease?. Rule of thumb... NEVER put any money down!!. Not even Tax, License, anything... if they want your business - you'll drive away without writing a check or rolling into the lease...
My deal 07' E350 Sport 53,500 - paid 51,200... 699.00 per month inc. TAX - NO money out of pocket, 15,000 miles per year... 27 mos...

California

I'm in California... and the state should'nt make a difference... and if in fact this is a 39 mos lease - the deal is even worse... I can't imagine that they sell nearly as many Mercedes in your area as they do here in Cali. So I would think since it ain't a truck - the salesperson would be more motivated to move the car off the lot - especially before the end of the year... Best to buy would be a week from Sunday, January 1st - right before closing... They have a chart in back with how many cars they need to sell.. here on the westcoast... salesman don't have to work hard to sell a Mercedes that's why they hate customers like me.... but they know they'll make it up on the next poor unsuspecting female buyer ..

Hey thanks for all the help so far,
Well the car we wanted was not available anywhere so it was ordered (Im not sure how much leverage we lost with that), its a 4matic, with PII, Sport, Split Folding, and Wooden Wheel (most just have the PI package and nothing else). Surprisingly E classes are very popular here. Im my area I think Es are as common as ML, X5s, and 3 series BMWs. Im gonna play some hardball tomorrow and see how I make out. I’ve actually contacted some local dealers to see what kind of rates I can get without even trying.

Just Walk!

Just remember to Walk out before the deal is done... if your not happy with the numbers and tell em' your going cross town or the next big city...OR wait a week... and come back on the 31st... you'd be surprised how much they will say yes at that point

Buy a car on the lot

You lose a lot of leverage if you are ordering it. To get the best deal find one and drive/fly there to purchase it. During December the dealers really want to move cars!

I got $6k off sticker plus the $2k in the trunk money through MB lease. On a loaded car like that you should be able to get at least that much off.

Make sure you have all your info before you step foot in the dealer or they can clean your clock on a lease. The best point for residual / payment is 27 months on the MB numbers. Standard 27 months for 15k miles is 69%, 12k is 71%, 10k is 72% and 7500 is 73%. Base MF is .00300. On a $60k E with an effective discount of about $8000 you should be able to drive off with tags, first, and $795 start fee for about $620 plus tax for 12k miles and 27 months. This assumes top tier credit.

Good luck with your purchase.
