Cost of Installing Sirius

I got a quote of $1,350 from my dealer for the installation of Sirius in my (prewired) 2005. This includes the cost of painting the antenna the same color as the car. Is this reasonable?

I intend to get the "factory" installation, which integrates with COMMAND. My understanding the module sells for $750, and the rest is labor.

He's getting a Sirius installation integrated into the COMAND system so that, for instance, the Sirius channel information displays in COMAND. That will naturally cost more than having a Sirius portable installed somewhere inside your car with no system integration. Whether $1350 is reasonable, I don't know.

This is for MY '06 but it gives you an idea on what is involved: Pano and without pano. The SDAR antenna should be in the same color as you car and should not need to be painted.

This is fairly easy to do and you could properly do it your self and just get the dealer to configure the fiber ring.

I wonder if there is an updated sheet for installation on the roof rather than the trunk (since that seems to be the current placement of the "puck")
