w211 brake job
I'll be doing the brakes on my dad's e500 this weekend and was wondering where's the best place to get brake pads? My local shop here in SD (independent MB service) has the pads, $111 for the front and $65 for the rears. I was wondering if there's a better and cheaper place to get them.
Thanks,
Ron

Caliber Motors in California. It's a Mercedes dealer with discounted parts.
Call 1-800-252-6877 and ask for Al Trevino in Parts.

And you've read up on how dangerous this procedure can be if done incorrectly?
Not talking about whether brakes work when you're done but rather how badly the SBC system can hurt you while you're doing the work.

Not a big deal if you follow procedes-
1. take key out of ignition
2. simply keep doors and trunk closed during ENTIRE install. hint- just lock the car so you dont break rule #2
3. if you have keylessgo, keep ALL keys very far away from the car.
