Aftermarket Xenon?
Hey y'all, noobie here.
I want to add Xenon but there are no options from the dealer. Any aftermarket options?
New E350 owner, 2007 W211 Sport package, loaded to the gills!
TIA,

Does the carlab kit require the "xenons present" program setting from the dealer, or will it trigger the "low beam failure" message without the "xenon present" programming? Also, how long is the warranty? (1-yr, 2 yr, lifetime, etc).
Nice kit, btw.

I've seen the MTEC units on eBay...about $400 delivered. Professional installation recommended.
They say no reprogramming..
Thoughts?

i believe these retrofits are illegal because they do not have the cutoff like the real hid housing. you always see a disclaimer that it is for off-road use only.
also note that the higher the kelvin rating the lower the light output. so 8000k is dimmer than the halogen light in your car.

Had them installed this morning. Haven't tried them at night yet but overall I'm happy with them. BTW...there is no flickering when startup as some kits has. This is the V3 Kit from Carlabs.

xenon equipped car cost $7,000 more!
In my 2003 E320, I got xenon lights as a factory installed option. I think it was a few hundred dollars. Fair deal!
In the 2007's, if you want it, it will cost about $7,000 because you have to get the P1 and P2 packages with other unneeded options. Expensive! This is lousy!
Leather is no longer standard. You have to pay extra or get vinyl seats. That's surprising but not lousy because you just pay for what you want.

I'm seriously considering ordering from carlabs but am concerned with previous discussions of the aftermarket HID's blinding oncoming motorists. If this is the case then I would be hesitant. Is there a way to correct this w/o spending the the big $'s for OEM's? Money is not the big issue here but I could think of better places to invest my money other than my perfectly normal projector lamps.
Thanks,
Jay

Lionhead do you have any photos of the V3 Kit's light spread at night?
I like the blue on those lights.
How do they compare to OEM Bi-Xenon's(as an option)?
I've got the Bi-Xenon option on my E500, the lights are white and I'm beginning to learn about how I can get blue ones in.
I live in Chicago(near lincolnwood), How badly do you think the Colts are gonna lose?
I'm thinking 402 to 0, with Urlacher being held to under 200 points.
