Comand Compatibility

i've got an 03 E500, and was wondering if these items:

12 V
part number: A 211 870 47 89 001
+
Car navigation DVD ROM Drive
Model 6059
the part number: A 220 820 60 85 004
GPS antenna

would allow me to watch DVDs, Play Mp3s, and Use American navigation.
It's a euro unit, i believe as it has the telephone keys instead of end and send.
is there any guide i can check to make sure that this will properly install into my old comand's spot? thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

my cars production date is : 1/27/2003
My dealer's service guy told me it was a MOST bus system and was saying my car isn't prewired for navigation or something.

Some Door pillars need to be changed...sounds difficult

should i try to install the items above in my car? how much am i looking to spend to install, i.e. kits/wiring??
thanks to anyone that can give me suggestions

Nothing MB related (sorry)
If you have a US spec W211, you will be able to retrofit DVD comand as well as a navigation drive. There is a thread on this forum with info on how to install the nav.drive in a W211. Please do a search.

The DVD comand is a matter of swapping head units.

Do keep in mind, that you get your car reprogrammed through Stardiagnose after the install has been completed.

If you have a Euro spec W211, retrofitting the nav.drive in the trunk will probably be more complicated...

greetingz,
