Navigation Questions

Anyone hear about a cars battery and all going dead after putting the wrong disk in the navigation slot in the trunk?

Also,

Is there any way of raising the volume of the navigation voice? It is kind of soft in the car and hard to hear. I read the manuals but am still lost. All I found was the fade controls?

It is a 05 E320 cdi

Thanks

E

RTFM, but if you ajust the volume while the nav voice is on that should do it.

This could happen if the disc is bad as it just keeps spinning and spinning trying to read the disc.

At least for my navigation (which was put in by Steve) which was Euro version for the C class I can adjust the volume independantly from the stereo. When the navigation is giving the prompt, raise the volume during that time and it should only adjust for that (not radio, etc). On my nav system, you can depress the button that also controls the volume and that will make the nav repeat its last direction which is when I make my adjustment).
