search for E 500 continues

So I've been looking and found that it's possible to get an 03, maybe even an 04, with about 40K miles for 35,000 or under. I was wondering about the suspension settings. In one piece I drove the suspension setting (comfort, sport, etc) would illuminate in the dash, in the speedo panel screen specifically, and in another one it didn't...just the red lights in the button in the console. Is this an anomoly? Should the suspension setting be displayed in the screen or not or just on some? Just wondering if anyone knows this. I am looking hard and really wanting to get the right car. It's hard getting back in my 6 cylinder CLK after feeling that 8. I'll probably just put the cover on the CLK and let it sleep for awhile after I get my E5. Thanks

**SOLD***2003 E500
Al,
Mine just has the red lights for the settings no dash output. If you would really like a nice two owner E500 please PM me for pictures and we can discuss price and short trip out of the snow to sunny central Florida.

My 2004 definitely shows the setting on the MFD for about 5 seconds then disappears. Maybe it's and 03-04 thing? Did you not see the display on the 03 but did see it on an 04 you drove?

Mine '06 does the same thing. Shows the setting for about 5 secs and goes away.

All cars show it on the dash for a couple of seconds and then back to whatever else was there.

Few months?

Currently, used 07 E550s go for the low 50s. Please explain how it is going to depreciate $15K+ in a few months. A couple of years I can understand but a few months?

w212 .....

(w211 -> mid to late 2002) + 6 years = 2008 which is 10 more months ?

as soon as you hear its coming ..starts the new model depreciation..

the new S, and C you can tell MB paid attention to detail and quality just by looking at the inside....w211 getting old..starting to look too small against its competitors redesigns

I am big fan of the current 07 E , but after looking at the new "style" following the footsteps of the S C, I think new E is going to stand out more plus the interior will be very upmarket look and feel.

you decide ultimately
