E63 facelift

Has anyone tried upgrading to the E63 front bumper from the non-2007 E-Class?

Looks like you have to upgrade the grill as well. Anything else?

There's been some debate about whether the '07 W211 has a different hood from the '03-'06, and the consensus seems to be that it's the same. The '07 facelift presumably gets the taller-grille look by going lower into the revised bumper, not by raising the hood. Changing bumpers, lights, trim and the grille is fairly cheap. Changing sheet metal body stampings is expensive.

To me it also looks like the hood is the same.
Thanks all.

My brother has an 03 E500 and is going to do this Mod. I'll post pics when he's done.

I am planning to have my bodyshop do this conversion; will i have to do some custom work on it, as in the E63 parts won't fit onto an E55 as if it were E55 parts? Also i'm still not sure if i have all the right parts. Here's what i came up with so far to have the front end of an E63, please tell me if i need more or if i don't neeed the part. Also if anyone knows the part numbers that'd be great.

E63 Front Bumper
E63 Hood
E63 Side Fenders
E63 Grill
E63 Headlights
E63 Foglights
E63 Front lip

AKzSPYo, the front bumper support *might* be different as well, because of the shape of the bumper. Compare the part numbers on your own and don't leave it up to the body shop (if your car is being fixed at one), since you would want a perfect fit.

Also keep in mind that the little things like the bumper strips and the orange markers in the bumper are different as well.

However, I do remember a thread a couple months back of an E-class beginc converted to the updated front end with just the bumper, grill and lights. I don't remember the details offhand though.

Ok, just did a search, the only parts are

Front Headlights
Front Fog Lights
Front Bumper
Front Grill

The hood and fenders are the same. What front lip are you talking about?

Check this thread as well... https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/173665-promised-pics-e-06-07-frontend-face-lift-no-hood-change.html

I was able to get pricing from the dealer but they would not provide provide part numbers.

Bixenon: $973 /per piece
Grill: $633
Bumper: $1,248

If anyone can provide part numbers I would appreciate it.
