Fuel reading going blank

Fuel reading going blank
Hi guys, newbie to posting here although I have browsed numerous times here.
Anyone experiencing the same problem. The read out is going blank from time to time and the fuel light goes on, the range gets close to zero and then later starts to increase. it's an 06 E350.

Will appreciate any feed back.

Mention P-B-47.00/38a Fuel Gauge Reads Empty - If no faulty components are found (i.e.: sensor for fuel level) the IC software will be updated.
