tailights

I was thinking about smoking the red part of the tailights but keeping the white part un-smoked
does anyone have a picture or any opinions?

The white part on the '07s is garish enough, arent you worried that you will accentuate the white part by subdueing the red part?

Pre '07s the white part is smaller, but they would be accentyated too... Just my .02

well I drive an 06 model and i thought the red is too bright and since the car is tinted it would look better off lightly smoked lights...

Did you smoke it from the inside of the taillight or the outside ?

I didn't do it. That's how it is on SE MLs. I'd imagine they were smoked on the inside of the tail light. I don't know how hard it is to disassemble the whole tail light to get into the inside of the E. Just throwing ideas out there.
